COLLIE JUNIOR FOUNDATION
MEMBER STATEMENT OF ETHICS & CODE OF CONDUCT
The Collie Junior Foundation (CJF) is committed to supporting Juniors through education, scholarships, mentorship, and meaningful connections within the Collie breed. Every CJF member plays an important role in creating a welcoming, respectful, and positive environment where Juniors can learn, grow, and succeed.
By being a member of CJF, I agree to uphold the following principles:
STATEMENT OF ETHICS
As a member of CJF, I will:
- Support and encourage Juniors
- Support opportunities that help Juniors develop skills, confidence, and lifelong involvement in the Collie breed.
- Encourage a positive environment where Juniors are respected, valued, and supported.
- Act with integrity and respect
- Treat members, families, volunteers, exhibitors, judges, and participants with fairness and courtesy.
- Communicate honestly and respectfully.
- Recognize that my actions and words contribute to the reputation and culture of CJF.
- Promote fairness and inclusion
- Support opportunities for Juniors to participate and succeed.
- Value the contributions of individuals from all backgrounds and experiences.
- Protect the mission and Safety of CJF
- Support CJF’s mission, programs, and activities.
- Use CJF resources and opportunities responsibly.
- Help maintain a safe, respectful environment for Juniors and all CJF participants.
- When interacting with Juniors, maintain appropriate and respectful conduct consistent with their age and role.
- Speak up and report concerns involving the safety or well-being of a Junior through appropriate channels.
CODE OF CONDUCT
As a member of CJF, I will:
- Follow CJF’s governing documents, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct myself in a manner that reflects positively on CJF and the Collie community.
- Engage in discussions and disagreements respectfully and avoid personal attacks, harassment, bullying, or inappropriate communication.
- Respect the privacy of information shared with me in connection with CJF activities.
- Avoid allowing personal interests to improperly influence CJF activities or decisions.
- Remember that Juniors are the focus of CJF and strive to serve as a positive example.
Accountability
CJF is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and mission-focused organization. Conduct that is inconsistent with CJF’s mission, values, governing documents, or policies may be reviewed by the Board of Directors in accordance with the CJF By-Laws and applicable policies. Actions taken may include education, limitations on participation, or removal from membership or CJF activities when appropriate.
By participating as a member of the Collie Junior Foundation, I acknowledge my commitment to these principles and to supporting the mission of CJF.
